Fix Common Problems For Press On Nails

Have you ever struggled with applying press-on nails at home? Don't worry, you're not alone! Even the most experienced nail enthusiasts can face some common issues when it comes to applying press on nails. We'll go over 5 of the most common problems people face when applying press on nails and give you some easy fixes to solve them.

Problem #1: Air bubbles

Sometimes, when applying press-on nails, you might notice air bubbles forming between your natural nail and the press on nail. This can create an uneven surface and make the press on nails more likely to fall off.

Solution: Before applying the press on nail, make sure your natural nail is clean and dry. Also ensure any leftover polish has been completely removed as any residue on your nail bed may trap air bubbles. When applying the press on nail, start from the base of your cuticle at a 45 degree angle, and press down towards the tip while smoothing out any air bubbles. If you're using glue tabs, make sure to push out any air bubbles by pushing down with a cuticle stick before removing the plastic cover and applying the press on.

Problem #2: Too long

Sometimes the press on nails can be too long for your personal preference.

Solution: You can easily use a nail clipper to cut the nail, and a nail file to file it down to your desired length.

Problem #3: Nails falling off

One of the common concerns with press on nails is that they can easily fall off.

This can be caused by a few different factors, such as not prepping your nails properly or not using enough glue.

Solution: To fix this problem, start by prepping your nails properly. Make sure your nails are clean and dry, using the alcohol pad provided to remove any oils. Make sure you don't touch your nails after cleaning them as this will transfer oils back onto your nail. Apply a small amount of glue to your nails and press the press on nail on firmly, holding it in place for at least 60 seconds. A good tip is to keep spare glue or adhesive tabs in your bag when you're out in case you need an emergency top up!
